EVENT OVERVIEW
The Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) is marking its golden jubilee with a series of events to celebrate 50 years of dedication to educational excellence. Founded in 1974, GNAPS has been instrumental in advocating for private schools, ensuring quality education standards, and fostering collaboration among educational institutions.
The anniversary celebration, themed "Half a Century of Quality Education: Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future," will feature seminars, workshops, and a grand gala. Distinguished guests, including government officials, educators, and alumni, are expected to attend. GNAPS continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Ghana's educational landscape, and this milestone reaffirms its commitment to nurturing future generations.
The festivities will kick off with a national conference in Accra, addressing contemporary challenges and future opportunities in the private education sector. Keynote speakers will include renowned education experts and policymakers who will share insights on innovative teaching methodologies and educational reforms. In addition, an exhibition showcasing the achievements and contributions of GNAPS-affiliated schools will highlight the association’s impact over the decades. Regional celebrations across the country will ensure that members from all corners of Ghana can participate in the jubilee.
A commemorative magazine will be published, featuring historical milestones, success stories, and messages from key stakeholders. The climax of the anniversary will be a spectacular awards night, recognizing outstanding schools, teachers, and students for their exceptional contributions to education.
GNAPS President, Dr. Samuel Ofori, emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, "This 50th anniversary is not just a celebration of our past, but a beacon guiding us towards a brighter future for private education in Ghana."
