GNAPS Announces Date for Elections of National Executives and Heads of Regional Branches
The Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS) has officially announced the date for the upcoming elections of its National Executives and Heads of Regional Branches. The elections will be held on July 15, 2024, at the GNAPS headquarters in Accra. This significant event is set to determine the leadership that will steer the association's activities and initiatives for the next three years.
Candidates from various regions have already begun campaigning, presenting their visions and plans for the future of private education in Ghana. The election process will include speeches from candidates, debates on critical issues facing the sector, and a question-and-answer session to allow members to make informed voting decisions.
GNAPS members, including school owners, administrators, and teachers, are expected to participate actively in the elections, ensuring that the chosen leaders truly represent their interests and aspirations.
Dr. Samuel Ofori, the current President of GNAPS, emphasized the importance of the elections, stating, "Strong leadership is crucial for advancing our mission of providing quality education. We encourage all members to participate and cast their votes to elect leaders who will continue to uphold our values and drive progress."
The election results will be announced on the same day, followed by an inauguration ceremony where the newly elected officials will take their oaths of office. The incoming leadership will be tasked with addressing key challenges such as policy advocacy, improving educational standards, and enhancing member support services.
To facilitate a smooth and transparent election process, GNAPS has established an independent electoral committee responsible for overseeing all aspects of the elections, from candidate nominations to vote counting. Members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the election guidelines and participate in pre-election meetings scheduled in various regions.
